Test-Optional Admissions Policy

Keystone College evaluates an applicant’s potential for success based on several criteria rather than just standardized test scores alone. Therefore, we have recently adopted a standardized test-optional admissions policy.

Research has shown that high school GPA is a much stronger indicator of academic ability and a more reliable predictor of college success. Keystone will primarily evaluate GPA and the rigour of high school coursework, as well as letters of recommendation, personal statements, and extracurricular, leadership and volunteer activities.

Test scores will be considered if submitted. Applicants are encouraged to submit scores if they believe the results are a positive reflection of their academic ability. Students who choose to withhold scores will not be at a disadvantage in the application review process. However, Keystone reserves the right to request standardized test scores in some cases.
